We do not use your data for automated individual decisions and do not sell it to third parties.
4. Legal bases
We process personal data insofar as this is necessary for the initiation and performance of a contract, on the basis of legal obligations, on the basis of our legitimate interest in secure and proper operation, or with your consent. For persons in the European Economic Area, we accordingly rely on Art. 6(1)(a), (b), (c) and (f) GDPR.
5. Cookies and consent
We use necessary cookies and local storage without consent, as the website would otherwise not function properly (e.g. your cookie choices, font size and contrast). We only load statistics and marketing services once you have given your consent. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via «Cookie settings» in the footer of the website.
The «Read page aloud» function uses your browser’s speech output. Depending on the browser and the selected voice, the page text to be read is transmitted to the browser’s provider for this purpose. What you type into text fields is not read aloud. Your browser remembers entries in the quote form until you send the form or close the tab.

6. Google Analytics
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics records how the website is used, for example which pages are accessed and whether an enquiry has been sent. IP addresses are not stored by Google Analytics 4. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA (see section 12). Google Analytics is not loaded without your consent; for this purpose we use Google’s Consent Mode. The analytics data is retained for a maximum of 14 months.
Independently of this, we count daily totals only, without cookies and without consent: page views, forms started and sent, and clicks on phone, WhatsApp and email. We store neither your IP address nor an identifier; the IP address is used only briefly and in unrecognisable form to block mass requests (at most 10 minutes). The totals help us understand whether the website serves its purpose and are kept for at most 180 days.
7. Google reviews (Trustindex)
To display our Google reviews, we use the Trustindex service provided by Trustindex Kft., Hungary. When a page containing reviews is loaded, your IP address is transmitted to Trustindex so that the reviews can be displayed.
8. Google Maps and external links
For directions, we link to Google Maps. Data such as your IP address is only transmitted to Google once you click the link or actively load a map. We load fonts directly from our own server; no connection to Google Fonts is made.
Address check and maps: when you enter a street in the quote form, our server queries the official address directory and the Federal Register of Buildings and Dwellings at the Federal Office of Topography swisstopo (address and house number, no names or contact details). We cache the answers briefly. The map in the moving-day check loads map images directly from swisstopo only after you click; your IP address is then transmitted to swisstopo.
9. WhatsApp
If you contact us via WhatsApp, your data is also processed by WhatsApp or Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, in some cases outside Switzerland and the EU. If you do not wish this, please contact us by telephone or email.
10. Hosting, email and forms
Our website is operated by Hostinger International Ltd., Larnaca (Cyprus); this also includes caching and delivery via its content delivery network. Enquiries submitted through the forms are stored in our website system and transmitted to us by email via the servers of our hosting provider. Our service providers process data only on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions.
Requests via AI assistants: an AI assistant (e.g. a chat app) can send a quote request on your behalf through our interface. It must confirm that you have agreed. We process these details like a request sent through our form. How the assistant’s provider handles your data is governed by its own privacy policy.
Photos you upload in one of our request or contact forms are reduced in size and stored without metadata (such as the location where they were taken) in a non-public folder of our website system and sent to us as an attachment to the enquiry email. We use them only to assess your job. On the website we delete them automatically 180 days after receiving the enquiry; the copy in our email inbox is subject to the periods in section 13.
Personal job page and accepting the quote online: with every enquiry you receive a personal link. When you open it, we store the key it contains in a technically necessary cookie (“ue_ak”, 120 days) so that the page can show your enquiry; this keeps the link itself out of statistics. The page is blocked for search engines. If you accept a quote online, we store as proof of the contract the time, the name you entered, your message, the content of the quote, a checksum of the PDF file, the browser type and a shortened, hashed value of your IP address. We keep these details like the other job records.
Voice input and read-aloud: on mobile devices you can fill in fields by voice and have answers read aloud. Speech recognition is carried out by your browser, which sends the recording to its provider (Google for Chrome, Apple for Safari), possibly abroad, under that provider’s privacy terms. We receive no recording, only the recognised text – and only when you submit the form. A notice appears before the first recording; that you have confirmed it is stored only in your browser’s local storage. Read-aloud uses your device’s speech output. You can always type instead of speaking.
My moving plan – email reminders: the plan calculates in your browser; whatever you tick off stays on your device. Only if you set up reminders do we store your email address, the language, the tasks with dates, the link to your plan and a shortened hash of your IP address (protection against misuse). Reminders are sent only after you confirm by email. We delete unconfirmed details after 3 days and confirmed ones 2 days after the last task – or immediately when you unsubscribe.
Job page: on the job day our team can set the status (on the way, arrived, finished) and an approximate arrival time on your personal job page. No location is transmitted or stored. Invoices with a QR payment part only contain the details needed for payment (amount, invoice number, name and address).
Photos for the quote: photos you send us with the quote request, via WhatsApp or by email may be sent internally to the AI service Anthropic (Claude, USA) for a volume estimate. Under its commercial terms Anthropic does not use the data for training and deletes it within 30 days (longer only in case of suspected misuse or for legal reasons). The estimate is only an aid for our quote; the survey is decisive. Please do not photograph people or documents.
Origin of an enquiry: so that we know which pages and tools on our website helped you, your browser remembers during your visit (only in this tab, in sessionStorage, without a cookie) the landing page, the type of origin (for example search engine, direct, or a link from another website with its domain) and which of our tools you used (for example a calculator or the moving plan). This is transmitted only together with an enquiry that you send yourself. We evaluate it only internally and in aggregate (monthly report); it is not passed on to third parties.
Declining a quote and follow-up: if you decline a quote on your order page, we store the reason you chose and your optional message with the enquiry. If you have not replied to a quote after a few days, we send you one short reminder by email (legitimate interest in handling your enquiry). If you do not want a reminder, a short message is enough.
11. Disclosure to third parties
We only disclose personal data insofar as this is necessary to perform your order or is required by law, for example to:
- authorities, for instance for parking permits or, for moves abroad, to customs
- insurers in the event of damage
- partner companies we engage, for instance for special transport or furniture lifts
- fiduciaries, accountants and auditors
12. Disclosure abroad
Some of the services mentioned also process data outside Switzerland, in particular in the EU and the USA. Under Swiss law, the EU is deemed to provide an adequate level of data protection. For transfers to the USA, we rely on the recipient’s certification under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or on the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission.
13. Retention
We delete enquiries that do not result in an order after no more than 24 months. We retain order and accounting records for the statutory period of ten years. Server logs are automatically deleted by the hosting provider after a short period.
14. Data security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorised access. Transmission on the website is encrypted (HTTPS); the forms are protected against automated misuse.
15. Your rights
Within the scope of applicable law, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure and release of your data, as well as the right to object to processing and to withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. To do so, please contact the address given in section 1. We may ask you to prove your identity.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC); persons in the EEA may do so with their competent supervisory authority.
16. Changes
We may amend this privacy policy, for instance if we use new services. The version published on this page at any given time applies.
