Clearing an office means more than carrying out furniture: files have to be kept or destroyed, equipment goes back to the leasing company, and the space has to be returned to the landlord in the agreed condition. We clear offices, practices and law firms – also in the evening or at the weekend – and destroy files and data carriers with a record.
In short
First clarify what has to be kept – business records for ten years – and what goes back to the leasing company or landlord. Then we clear, destroy files and data carriers with a record and hand over the space swept clean. Archives and furniture that are to be kept can be stored with us.
What is included
- Clearance of office, practice, archive and ancillary rooms
- Destruction of files and data carriers with a record
- Electrical and IT equipment separately through the take-back system
- Work in the evening or at the weekend
- Broom-clean handover; final cleaning and painting on request

Files and data carriers
Business books and accounting records must be kept for at least ten years (federal SME portal on Art. 958f CO). So do not destroy anything before your accountant has agreed.
Whatever has to be kept but does not come to the new location can be stored in our business warehouse. Whatever may be destroyed, we destroy and confirm with a record – for files as well as data carriers.
The Data Protection Act requires appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data (FDPIC guide). The record documents what was destroyed.
What an office clearance costs
The price has two parts: the team’s working time, charged for the time actually worked, and disposal by volume.
- One vehicle with two people costs CHF 225 to 260 per hour, depending on the job. A flat fee of CHF 190 per vehicle and job is added for the vehicle, fuel and the journey there and back (within the region; longer distances as quoted).
- For disposal we reckon with CHF 40 to 50 per cubic metre, depending on the material.
- We charge a minimum of 3 hours.
These rates include VAT. On request we quote a fixed price after the free survey that includes everything, VAT too.
| Working time: 6 h × CHF 225–260 | CHF 1,350 – 1,560 |
|---|---|
| Disposal: 15 m³ × CHF 40–50 | CHF 600 – 750 |
| Vehicle and travel flat fee | CHF 190 |
| Total (incl. VAT) | CHF 2,140 – 2,500 |
Assumed: 6 hours with one vehicle and two people and 15 m³ of material. How many hours and cubic metres it will be for you is stated in the quote after the free survey. Surcharges for items over 100 kg and hazardous waste are added if they apply.
