How a plant transport works
- You tell us the number, height and approximate weight of the plants.
- We plan a dolly, a sack truck and enough staff for heavy tubs.
- Written quote – fixed price or by the hour, on its own or together with the move.
- Packing with film, fleece and supports; with cold protection in winter.
- Upright, secured transport and placement at the new location.
What affects the price
We quote the binding price after the free survey – on site, by video call or from photos. These factors play a role:
- Number and size
- Season
- Weight of the pots
- Combination with the move
Plant transport: what matters
- Water plants only moderately two to three days beforehand – wet soil is heavy and drips.
- Tie long shoots loosely together, cover pots with film or bags.
- In frost, plan short distances between flat and vehicle; load plants last and unload them first.
- Large potted plants: state weight and pot size so enough people and equipment are there.
Our tip
Water plants two days before the move, not on moving day. Wet soil makes pots heavy and messy.
From our experience
Large potted plants such as olive trees or palms quickly weigh over 100 kilos with wet soil. We plan a dolly and enough crew for them.

Do you move plants abroad?
Some countries have import rules for plants. We’ll point them out and clarify the effort with you.
Do you move plants in winter?
Yes, with fleece and short time outdoors.
Are plants moved in the same vehicle as the furniture?
Yes, secured and upright in their own area.
How are large potted plants transported?
With a dolly or hand truck and secured in the vehicle; for heavy pots we plan one more person.
Are plants suitable for storage?
Hardly – they need light and care. So plan to take them straight to the new home.
