Moving your household goods across the border requires an inventory list – for export from Switzerland as well as for import into Germany, Austria, Italy, France or Switzerland. Fill it in here, room by room.
In short
Number the boxes and describe them roughly, list furniture and appliances individually, valuables and new goods separately with value, and declare follow-up shipments at the first border crossing. Predefined items also appear in the language of the destination country.
Your inventory list
Fill in the list room by room. Your entries stay saved in this browser until you delete them – so you can work on it in several sessions.

What customs require for this route
Export from Switzerland
- For household goods an inventory list with your addresses in Switzerland and abroad is enough. Vehicles are declared for export (copy of the vehicle registration).
Import into Switzerland
- Form 18.44 “removal goods” and this inventory list, plus proof of the move (for example employment or rental contract, deregistration).
- You must have used the goods for at least 6 months and continue to use them. Ordinary household goods need no values; list valuable items individually.
- Clearance only Monday to Friday during the opening hours of a customs office for commercial goods – we plan this into the moving day.
Import into Germany
- Form 0350 “customs declaration for removal goods” (online or signed on paper) with proof such as rental contract, deregistration or receipts.
- Your residence was outside the EU for at least 12 months, and you have used the goods for at least 6 months.
- Declare within 12 months of the move; afterwards do not sell, lend or give away the goods for 12 months.
- Not duty-free: alcohol, tobacco, commercial vehicles and items used for business.
Import into Austria
- Form ZBefr 2 with the customs declaration; with a vehicle, or if the goods arrive before your residence, a prior basis decision (ZBefr 2a). Proof: registration or deregistration, employment or rental contract.
Import into France
- Form cerfa 10070 and a detailed, estimated inventory (with values), dated and signed, in 2 copies. With several shipments, the first list already includes everything.
Import into Italy
- Inventory with the customs declaration; TVs, computers and audio equipment with brand, model and serial number. Italian citizens get a certificate from the consulate (registered in AIRE for at least 12 months).
- Your residence was outside the EU for at least 12 months, and you have used the goods for at least 6 months.
- Declare within 12 months of the move; afterwards do not sell, lend or give away the goods for 12 months.

Liechtenstein
- Switzerland and Liechtenstein form a customs union – no customs formalities; register with the municipality.
For this country we clarify the documents with you.
Information as of October 2026, official sources linked. The customs authorities are authoritative.
Tap to add an item; adjust number and room afterwards. For TVs, computers and appliances, add the brand in the note.
Jewellery, art, collections, expensive equipment – and anything with its own rules such as alcohol, tobacco, weapons, plants. One by one, with value.
These goods are not duty-free removal goods. They appear at the end of the list as “goods to be declared”, with value – keep the receipts at hand.
Anything crossing the border later must already be on the list at the first crossing.
Print the list twice and sign both. One copy goes with the customs papers, you keep the other.

How the list is structured
- Boxes: numbered consecutively, with room and rough contents – write the same numbers on the boxes.
- Furniture and appliances: one by one, with quantity; for TVs, computers and audio equipment brand and model (Italy also asks for the serial number).
- Valuables and special items: one by one with value – including anything with its own rules such as alcohol, tobacco, weapons or plants.
- New goods: anything new or used for less than 6 months goes at the end as “goods to be declared”, with value.
- Follow-up shipments: anything that follows later is already on the first list.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a value for every item?
Not for import into Switzerland: ordinary household goods need no values, valuables and goods to be declared do. France requires a detailed, estimated inventory – there you give an estimated value for every entry.
What if part of the household goods comes later?
Follow-up shipments go on a separate list at the first border crossing. The inventory list has its own section for this.
Do you handle customs clearance?
Yes. We check the list with you, prepare the customs documents and coordinate clearance at the border. Send us the list directly from the form above.
Where are my entries stored?
Only in your browser, until you delete the list. The list only reaches us when you send it yourself.
